Train

Urban Shanghai has three railway station: Shanghai Zhan Railway Station (Xinkezhan); Shanghai Xizhan, the western railway station; and Shanghai Nanzhan, the southern railway station. The Huning and Huhang rail lines leave from Shanghai Zhan and travel to locations nationwide. Every day over 70 passenger trains leave from Shanghai Station to large and mid-sized cities all over the country. Trains leave from Shanghai Xizhan fro cities like Yantai, Zaozhuan, Hengyang, Ganzhou (Jinggang Shan Mountain) Chengdu, Zhangjiajie, and there are several trains lines staring in other cities that make stops here. Shanghai Nanzhan has five trains that come and go from Hangzhou.

Shanghai Zhan Railway Station
Transportation to and from Shanghai Zhan is easy. You can take subway lines 1, 3, and 4 and get off at the Shanghai Zhan Railway Station, take bus lines 13, 41,58,63, 64,69,78,95,104,106,109 etc…, the Suisan line, Nanxin line, Shenchuan line, Xinjia line, Hutang line, Wusong lilne, and Jiwu line. In total over 70 buses pass by, start or finish their routes at Shanghai Zhan.

Shanghai Nan Zhan
Take the subway number 1line toward Jinjiang Amusement Park otherwise known as the “Meilong Zhan Station”. Turn left as you exit the station and walk forward about 100 meters. Cross the overpass brighe and the Shanghai Nanzhan will be sitting right in front of you. Take notice: The Shanghai South Railway Station stop on the subway's number 1line does not actually lead to the train station. Keep this in mind when you are planning your route.
